Tokyo - Intel's investment arm, Intel Capital, will provide Onkyo with about $8.2 million in capital in exchange for equity warrants and convertible bonds, Nikkei reported. The transaction is expected to close in December.

In a related development, Onkyo agreed to include Intel PC chips in future A/V equipment to reduce costs and provide Internet compatibility, Nikkei said.

"We've got nothing to add to the news from Tokyo," a spokesman said.
