Samsung Brings Evernote To The Smart Camera

Ridgefield Park, N.J. — Samsung said Wednesday that it has teamed with Evernote to offer expanded sharing functionality on the Samsung WB250F smart camera.

Through the arrangement, users of the Samsung WB250F will be able to share images to Evernote and have them synched across any device that has Evernote installed, Samsung said.

The feature is available starting today to users in the United States via a software upgrade on Samsung.com, and will complement the WB250F’s integrated in-camera sharing platforms, including email, Facebook and YouTube.

The WB250F also comes with three months of the Evernote Premium service (a $15 value) that includes a higher upload allowance per month (up to 1GB), more sharing options and faster image processing.

Samsung said that the WB250F will ship with a free promo code for the free three-month service trail.

“Consumers want to take great pictures that they can share with their family and friends,” said Ron Gazzola, marketing VP for digital imaging. “With the addition of Evernote to Samsung’s WB250F, users can now seamlessly sync their images across devices and share their photo memories with other Evernote users.”

The WB250F was designed as a Wi-Fi-enabled camera that allows consumers to capture images and share them on popular social-media sites or via email when connected to a Wi-Fi network.

In addition to enabling consumers to connect and share, the 14.2-megapixel WB250F ($250 suggested retail) also incorporates a BSI CMOS sensor, 18x optical zoom and full manual (P/S/A/M) modes, a touchscreen LCD display and five-way navigational keys.

It also has a Best Face feature that allows users to shoot professional-looking images, as well as a Smart mode and a Motion Photo feature.
