Lake Success, N.Y. – Canon USA has introduced three additions to its 2013 PowerShot point-and-shoot digital camera line.
Models include the PowerShot Elph 330 HS, Elph 115 IS and A2500.
The Elph 330 HS integrates advanced wireless connectivity and enhanced low-light shooting capability in dimly lit situations.
It also adds Canon’s HS system offering clear images, minimal noise and maximum detail from low-lit conditions.
Other features include Canon’s Smart Auto, which enables strong automatic results from point-and-shoot shots. It will detect up to 58 scenes in the Elph 330 HS and up to 32 scenes in PowerShot Elph 115 IS and PowerShot A2500 models.
All three models also provides Eco Mode that manages power consumption and extends battery life by approximately 30 percent, when enabled, allowing users to shoot more photos for a longer amount of time.
In addition to wireless connectivity and sharing, the Elph 330 HS packs a 10x optical zoom lens and a 12.1-megapixel high-sensitivity CMOS image sensor.
Through the wireless feature, which works with both iOS and Android tablets and phones, users can share photos and videos using Canon’s free CameraWindow app. Frequently used devices and accounts are stored in the camera’s memory for quick connectivity.
Users can instantly upload images wirelessly from the camera to Canon Image Gameway, or automatically upload them to a computer, remotely.
Photos can also be printed wirelessly using Wireless PictBridge on select Canon wireless inkjet printers, including the new Pixma MG6320 Photo all-in-one printer.
Other features include a Digic 5 image-processor ISO speed of up to 6,400, dedicated movie-record button for up to 1080p video recording, built-in stereo microphone, a new Hybrid Auto mode, Canon’s Movie Digest mode, high-speed AF and burst shooting up to 6.2 fps.
The Elph 330 HS will ship in March at a $230 suggested retail in a choice of black, silver and pink body colors.
