Spokane, Wash. - A/V specialty dealer Huppin's will open a second showroom in November.

hupHuppin’s will cut the ribbon on its second showroom Nov. 5.
The 8,000-square-foot store, a new construction located in North Spokane, represents the company's first satellite location in its 102-year history, and effectively doubles its retail selling space.

First announced last May, the showroom was presciently designed by president/CEO Murray Huppin to emphasize Internet connectivity. To that end, the store will provide interactive displays and store personnel who will explain and demo IPTV, PC-to-TV connections and other examples of Web and CE integration.

The store will also feature a 3D showcase with 3D TV displays and live 3D camcorders.

The 3D and IP product offerings will also be added to Huppin's original location, in downtown Spokane.

Huppin's will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, Nov. 5, and has invited vendors to a grand-opening preview event the night before.

In other Huppin's news, the company last month launched a microsite for headphones within its OneCall e-tail store. Dubbed The Headphone Shop, the site features over 235 products ranging from traditional and DJ headphones to wireless, noise-cancelling and mobile models.

A newly designed user interface provides volume controls, a music mix provided by Skullcandy, and a virtual fitting room where shoppers can "try on" headphones via portrait photos uploaded from their computers or Facebook accounts.

"My goal was to have OneCall engage our customers to create an experience that captures the energy, emotion, style and excitement of today's headphone business," Huppin said.
