Irvine, Calif. - Howard's Appliance and Flat Screen Superstores relocated its Santa Ana, Calif., store to a 17,000-square-foot showroom here last week.

The new storefront had formerly housed a Levitz Furniture store, the Orange County Register reported.

Howard's was founded as a radio repair shop in the back of a sporting goods store by chairman Howard Roach in 1946.  The 10-store chain placed 26th on TWICE's Top 100 Major Appliance Retailers report last year with $67 million in majap sales, and ranked 95th on the CE charts with $24 million in electronics sales in 2010.

The La Habra, Calif.-based retailer opened its 10th location in 2009.
