TiO Home Automation Gets New Owner

Melbourne, Fla. – The TiO (Turn it On) brand of residential and building automation products, launched last year, has a new owner.

The new owner is Anuva Automation, which through a partnership with Anuva Manufacturing of Melbourne, Fla., will build all TiO products in the U.S. Anuva’s engineering team in Morrisville, N.C., will develop future products.

TiO exhibited for the first time last year at a CEDIA Expo to unveil its wireless multizone audio and wireless home-control system. The systems can be controlled from Android mobile devices.

U.S. manufacturing “will help us provide high-quality products and deliver quick turnaround,” said Mike Anderson, TiO founder and Anuva Automation president. Anuva’s capabilities “will also help us to increase the capabilities of TiO.”

Anderson was president/CEO of TiO’s former owner, Automated Control Technology Partners, which was founded in April 2013.

“Through Anuva’s design-to-distribution approach, we will help accelerate TIO’s presence in the marketplace,” said Vinu Patel, founder and CEO of Anuva Automation and Anuva Manufacturing.

Anuva is a “design to distribution” group of businesses that started in 2008 with the launch of Anuva Services in Morrisville, N.C. It started provided logistic services to customers. Three years later, Anuva acquired a contract manufacturing operation. In 2011, Patel launched Anuva Manufacturing Services. In 2012, Anuva launched sister company Anuva Resource Solutions, which was designed to help Anuva customers hire talent to grow their businesses. And in 2013, Anuva acquired TriE Medical, an engineering development group that was rebranded as Anuva Innovations.
