Insteon Expands Retail Presence

Irvine, Calif. – DIY home-automation supplier Insteon expanded its distribution base again with the launch of products today through 282 Menards retail stores nationwide and Menards.com.

Menards operates almost 300 home-improvement stores in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

“We have been working hand-in-hand with the Menards team to get Insteon product on the shelves before the holiday shopping season begins,” said Insteon CEO Joe Dada.

Earlier this year, Insteon rolled out products to MicrosoftStore.com and most of Microsoft’s 53 retail stores across the U.S. The company also expanded its Best Buy presence to 280 stores from 110 and added Build.com, the online home improvement store. And it recently tapped distributor New Age to sell to retailers.

Insteon products are also available through retailers such as Amazon, Sears.com, and Walmart.com, and products are available in select Costco, Home Depot and TigerDirect brick-and-mortar stores and through the Costco and Home Depot online stores.

Insteon owner SmartLabs also sells Insteon-branded products through its Smarthome.com website.

Insteon’s products consist of more than 200 devices, including lamp dimmers, thermostats and LED bulbs. The products use dual-band wireless RF and powerline technology for redundancy to ensure control signals reach all connected devices in a home, the company said.

Products are monitored and controlled from iOS, Android and Windows smartphone and tablet apps.
