Philadelphia -
Big-screen TV owners who are fans of yule log fireplaces may be interested to
know that ScreenDreams Publishing, a developer of ambient imagery DVDs and
online services for connected TVs, is now selling "Living Fireplace: Vol. 2" —
a holiday-themed presentation on both DVD and Blu-ray Disc.
The Blu-ray title,
which is the company's first in the format, includes 20 unique scenes shot in
1080p and 720p high-definition video, four of which are specifically themed for
the holidays, and 10 music and natural sound effects tracks.
Both BD and DVD
discs include 22 total seceenscapes, including a play-all sequence, more than
120 minutes of total content, 10 classic music tracks and 10 soothing music and
natural sound effects in Dolby Digital.
The intent behind
the production was to deliver a yule log setting that could bring the spirit of
holidays around the fireplace to homes that may not have a fireplace or may not
want to light a fire for various reasons.
Stephen Spivak,
founder of
ScreenDreams, said
that since launching the first iteration of Living Fireplace four years ago,
"we continue to be the leader in fireplace DVDs."
The presentation
was inspired by the Yule Log videos that New York TV station WPIX began showing
Christmas day back in the Sixties.
Holiday
music on the disc includes: "The First Noel," "Twelve Days of Christmas," "Joy
To The World," "Jingle Bells" and others.
The standard-def
DVD version of the disc is available now at leading retailers for a $9.95
suggested retail. The Blu-ray version, with both 1080p and 720p HD output, is
available now at a $12.95 suggested retail.
