Chula Vista, Calif. — The business group of Hitachi Home Electronics America introduced this week an SXGA-plus resolution 3LCD front projector offering advanced functionality for applications where high brightness and detail are required.

The CP-SX635, shipping now at a $12,995 suggested retail, is targeting applications including simulator CP-SX635projects, which can utilize its 4,000 ANSI lumens brightness level. The unit also has access to four optional lenses for various throw distances.

The projector offers a 2,000-hour hybrid filter, for simplified maintenance, and includes a lens shift option for more flexible installations.

The unit offers 16 watts of audio power and an audio pass-through capability that will enable placing the projector in standby mode when only audio is needed.

Remote operation can be controlled through a LAN network connection, which also accommodates multiple projectors in different rooms.

Proprietary functions include: My Screen, My Memory and My Button as well as input source naming and blackboard/whiteboard/daytime modes. Security features include a PIN lock, Kensington slot and transition detector.
