Sennheiser Pop-Up Shop Fills Bill

New York — Sennheiser’s “experiential” holiday pop-up boutique is wrapping up its month-long run in Manhattan with two final guest sessions featuring local musicians and DJs.

The German headphone manufacturer opened two temporary concept stores last month, in the Bowery section here and in San Francisco’s Mission District, which offer live demos, exotic displays and evening events with local artists and musicians.

Admission is by invitation only, with limited tickets provided by Sennheiser to followers on social media.

The New York store hosted a panel discussion last night on “Making a Musical Language” with MC Jimmy Jams, musician Marques Toliver and artist Daniel Perlin. Tonight it hands the mike over to international electronic and house DJs The Martinez Brothers and label mates Filsonik and Jesse Calosso.

The schedule concludes next week when Jimmy Jams returns with producer/rapper/DJ Yung Gutted, who along with his hip-hop collective NSP, has customized 10 pairs of Sennheiser’s new Urbanite headphones that will be made available on site.
