SOL Unveils Shadow Wireless Headphones

SAN FRANCISCO — SOL Republic introduced its Shadow Wireless in-ear headphones in March.

The flexible Bluetooth headphones feature AptX, in-line mic and remote, multi-device pairing and an eight-hour battery life

Kevin Lee, CEO and co-founder of SOL, previewed the lightweight headphones to TWICE during International CES in January, and said the company had designed them to be worn all day long, resting on the person’s neck when not in use.

They are currently available for black and gray for a $99.99 suggested retail. Best Buy holds retailer exclusivity until June.

Denon Grows Globe Cruiser Line

MAHWAH, N.J. — Denon has expanded its headphones offering with a new wireless noise-canceling model.

The AH-GC20, part of the company’s Globe Cruiser line, features 40mm drivers, Bluetooth 4.0 with AptX and AAC, dual microphones for noise canceling, voice prompts and multi-device connectivity.

The noise-reduction system enhances received audio quality and has noise suppression, adaptive equalization, automatic gain control, echo cancellation, wind-noise reduction, and noise-dependent volume control, Denon said.

Denon also said it measured the ears and facial structures of more than 4,000 people to determine a best fit for any type of user.

Suggested retail is $399. Charging is done via MicroUSB, with battery life said to be 20 hours of wireless playtime and a full charge reached after three hours. A cable is also included for wired use.
