New York - Haier America will be hitting the road again this summer with its second annual product showcase.
The crux of the three-month Haier Home Tour is a 53-foot tractor trailer that displays highlights from the company's CE and major appliance portfolio.
The trailer folds down into a fully accessible front porch that leads to a three-room walk-through for visitors. Each area will be furnished with Haier products, including flat-panel TVs, counter-depth refrigerators and room air conditioners that will cool the mobile home.
The tour kicks off this weekend at Taste of Chicago festival and ends Sept. 20 at the Puyallup Fair in Puyallup, Wash. In between, the traveling display will visit 10 other outdoor galas, with participation by such retailers as ABC Warehouse, BrandsMart USA and Grand Appliance.
"We have taken our company to the next level with this summer's tour, showcasing most of our product lines in the traveling Haier Home," said Haier America president/CEO Michael Jemal. "From a kitchen suite to laundry to flat-panel high-definition LED televisions, Haier really does offer everything for the home, so millions of consumers will have a chance to see the best of what we offer at fairs and festivals across the country."
The displays will include a living room vignette with a mounted 42-inch R-series LCD HDTV; a kitchen area featuring a counter-depth three-door refrigerator, Haier's new tall tub dishwasher and a 40-bottle wine cellar; and a laundry room with a working washer and dryer.
Visitors can receive rebate forms for the products displayed valued at $20 to $100, and can also enter a contest to win an array of the featured merchandise.
