LAS VEGAS - Haier is introducing its first line of digital cameras in the U.S., starting with a pair of models on display here.

The cameras are designed for a wide range of users, offering easy-to-use, automatic functions, including face, motion and smile detection.

Highlighted models include:

• The DC-X80 ($150), with 5x optical zoom, 12MP resolution, 1/2.3-inch CCD, face-detection auto focus mode, and image stabilization to reduce blur.

• The DC-A20 ($130), an all-weather model with 6x optical zoom, face and smile detection, red-eye removal, 9MP image stabilization, 2.5-inch LCD, and support for YouTube video and Pictbridge printing.
