Gentec Redesigns Energy Connoisseur Line

Toronto - Gentec International said it has redesigned its Energy Connoisseur line of home-theater cables.

The company's flagship HDMI cable line, which saw its first incarnation in 2005, provides full 3D support, 1080p+ HD certification, and HDMI 1.4 certification.

Features include a fireproof (FT-4 fire-rated) PVC jacket that allows custom installation behind walls, Gentec said, as well as its proprietary ArmourFlex protective braiding that reportedly shields the cables from damage and makes in-wall pulling easier.

The cables' packaging has also been redesigned and is said to be 35 percent smaller than previous packaging.
