The 21W-inch FPD2185W had been priced at $599. The high-definition unit is geared toward consumers who need their monitor to handle entertainment and business tasks. The display supports High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection and Gateway said it is compatible with the next generation of DVD formats.

The company cited data from the research firm DisplaySearch that gave the FPD2185W a 51 percent market share for 21W-inch LCD monitors.
