Carson, Calif. -
Fred Towns has been named president of Synnex's two CE divisions, New Age
Electronics and Jack of All Games, as of March 1.
Towns is currently sales
and marketing senior VP for the divisions, and will replace Adam Carroll, who
is retiring at the end of the month.
Carroll co-founded and served as president
of New Age Electronics, Inc. before its acquisition by Synnex Corporation in

positioned New Age Electronics as a leader in the consumer electronics industry,
and he has played a vital role in making the integration of the consumer electronics
business a success," said Peter Larocque, president of U.S. distribution for Synnex.
"He has built a solid bench of talented
leaders, including Fred Towns, and he is now moving forward with his personal
life, while continuing on as an executive advisor."
Towns previously served as senior
VP of New Age Electronics before its acquisition by Synnex
