New York — Pebble today announced a partnership with fitness wearable supplier Misfit to add pedometer integration to the Pebble and Pebble Steel smart watches via a download of an upgraded Misfit mobile app.
The improved Misfit app also adds calories burned and distance traveled metric reporting to the Pebble watches, as well as to Misfit’s own Shine activity tracker.
Pebble called the announcement “the first stage in an ongoing collaboration with Misfit.”
The new app is available today in the Pebble app store and is coming to Apple’s App Store shortly.
