New York — Two vendors made last-minute additions to their flash-memory lineups, aiming at the higher-end of the market with high capacity and high speed products.

EDGE Tech introduced an 8GB USB flash drive under its DiskGO brand.

The drive will retail for a suggested $599 and features SecureGuard software, password protection and keychain grommet.

Kingston announced a new line of high-speed CompactFlash cards geared toward high-performance digital cameras. The Ultimate cards deliver a sustained write speed of 100x.

The cards will be available in capacities of 1, 2 and 4GB for a suggested $89, $159 and $289, respectively.
