Santa Ana, Calif. -- SRS Labs said Thursday that EchoStar has renewed its multi-year contract to license SRS TruVolume volume leveling technology within multiple set-top box models.

TruVolume allows users to enjoy television programming, music, movies and other subscription content, without volume fluctuations that are normally encountered when switching between sources or channels, and when programming transitions to commercials.

EchoStar added SRS Labs' TruVolume technology to set-top boxes last year.
