Minneapolis - Brian Dunn resigned as Best Buy CEO and director before an audit committee investigation into personal misconduct could be completed, according to several published reports.

Best Buy announced Dunn's resignation yesterday and said that G Mike Mikan would serve as interim CEO.

Reuters reported on Wednesday that the board is still continuing its investigation, and that the terms of his resignation were still being finalized.
