San Francisco – Dolby Laboratories published an on-line consumer guide to buying home theater components in the HDTV era.

The guide, entitled "HD Essentials: Get in the Middle of the HD Action," www.dolby.com/hdguide, can be printed out by consumers and taken on shopping trips. The guide also includes a glossary and set-up tips.
