Members of the PowerHouse Alliance, the national confederation of regional tech distributors, are getting an early start on the summer training season.
This month the group will collectively host more than 25 events and trainings across the country.
“Education is key to our success as well as to our dealers,” noted PowerHouse Alliance executive director Dennis Holzer. “Not only are our members offering a significant amount of training opportunities to their dealers across the country in May, we are also attending several events and celebrating the expansion and addition of new locations.”
Among the latter, Midwest member CED (Consumer Electronics Distributors) will formally open a new location in Elk Grove Village, Ill., on May 16. The new location will offer a state-of-the-art will-call area with interactive displays featuring the latest product offerings.
Elsewhere, Southeastern member 21st Century Distributing is hosting a month-long Integration Innovation Roadshow, which will make multiple stops in North Carolina, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee. The program will include integration and network trainings, show-floor sessions, and instruction in URC Total Control and Clare Controls.
URC and Clare Controls training will also figure prominently for member EDI (Electrical Distributing Inc.), which will host sessions at its Portland, Ore., and Seattle, Wash., locations, as will RTI training. The distributor will also be attending the Pacific Northwest Consumer Electronics Expo (PNWCEE) in mid-May, and is incentivizing dealers with a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro RS giveaway.
Meanwhile, PowerHouse member Volutone is hosting Sonos and Luxul trainings, as well as the 8th Annual Southern California Technology & Business Summit at two off-site locations this week.
Other distributor members including Sierra Select Distributors, ECD (Electronic Custom Distributors) and Autco are similarly hosting training sessions in May for such brands as Denon, URC Total Control, JVC, and Peerless Outdoor TV.
