Nyne Building Distribution Base

Oxnard, Calif. — Nyne signed SED International as the first national distributor to sell Nyne’s entire product line of high-end portable Bluetooth speakers and home audio systems to channel partners and retailers in the U.S.

Nyne also sells through “very carefully selected regional distributors as well as independent sales reps that understand our high-end brand and adhere to our MAP policy,” the company told TWICE.

The company, which launched its first products in 2012, plans to add “more strategic regional distributors” to “build our dealer base and our reach in the market,” a spokesperson added. It hasn’t been decided if additional national distributors will be hired.

Nyne national sales director Mike Baginski said the deal will enable Nyne to “continue to grow and receive positive responses from retailers and consumers alike.”

Nyne focuses on audio products that reproduce music from smartphones and tablets. The products include tabletop speaker systems and clock radios that dock with Apple’s mobile devices and incorporate stereo Bluetooth. The company also offers portable Bluetooth speakers and a Smart Media Center, which is a TV credenza that packs a 400-watt three-way 2.1 speaker system, surround decoders, virtual-surround post-processing, FM tuner, HDMI switching, Apple’s eight-pin Lightning connector, Apple AirPlay and stereo Bluetooth.

SED is a multinational distributor of computer technology, consumer electronics, small appliances, housewares and personal care products.
