Davis Distribution Joins PowerHouse Alliance

Newell, W. Va. – Davis Distribution, a 17-year-old CE distributor, has joined the PowerHouse Alliance, the national consortium of regional wholesale distributors.

Davis serves the 12-volt and custom integration markets within a 10-state territory that stretches from Southern New Jersey to Michigan, and carries such premium brands as Sony, Sonos and Definitive Technology.

Within the Alliance, the family-run business will limit its reach to Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

“We are thrilled to be joining such a successful group of distributors that share the same business goals and ideals we represent,” said sales VP Nate Taliani. “Serving as a PowerHouse Alliance member will allow us to present a whole new line-up of products from industry-leading vendors to the dealers and integrators in our region,” including an increased assortment of home automation and security lines.

“We are looking forward to representing the Alliance across our territory and hope to bring fresh perspective and personnel to the group,” he said.

Added PowerHouse executive director Dennis Holzer: “The Taliani family is well-known and respected throughout the consumer electronics distribution market, and their business mindset, ethics and goals align perfectly with those of the current Alliance members across the U.S. We are honored to welcome Davis Distribution to the PowerHouse family, and are looking forward to significantly increasing our presence in their territory.”

Davis, based here, carries 12-volt A/V and navigation products for commercial and auto installers; leading A/V, security and control brands; mobile accessories; and a wide array of products specifically designed for the residential and commercial custom install markets by such brands as Jamo, Panamax, Sanus and Vanco.

PowerHouse, headquartered in Pittsburgh, has collective annual sales of over $800 million and maintains 800,000 square feet of warehouse space in 38 locations across the country. Its members carry more than 150 name-brand product lines for custom installers, specialty dealers, large retailers and industry buying groups in the residential and commercial A/V, home entertainment, security, IT and CE accessories markets.

The consortium says it creates cost efficiencies for manufacturers and buying power for customers, and offers a national footprint with the added benefit of local sales and support.
