Almo Renews Alfresco Partnership

Commerce, Calif. — Almo will resume distribution duties for the Alfresco, Artisan and American Eagle brands of premium outdoor cooking products beginning Sept. 1.

The agreement, with parent company Superior Equipment Solutions, covers the brands’ residential lines.

Alfresco, co-founded by former Lynx owner Dale Seiden, has supplied the commercial kitchens of celebrity chefs Jean George, Emeril Lagasse, Wolfgang Puck and Mario Batali and such national restaurant chains as California Pizza Kitchen, TGI Fridays, Applebee’s, and The Cheesecake Factory.

It launched its residential Open Air Culinary Systems luxury series in 1999, which now includes hand-crafted cooking, refrigeration, storage and preparation products, and such accessories as pantries, sinks, plating centers and warming drawers.

Almo will be carrying Alfresco and Artisan grills, and built-in and cart grills from the American Eagle series.

“We are excited to revisit our longstanding history with Alfresco and are looking forward to taking our partnership to the next level,” said Almo president/CEO Warren Chaiken. “We have always been impressed with Alfresco’s product portfolio and commitment to quality manufacturing and innovative design. The opportunity to market a brand like Alfresco is the perfect addition to our premium appliance offering and we couldn’t be more thrilled.”

Almo is a 68-year-old, privately held national distributor of majaps, CE and pro A/V equipment. It will represent the Superior product lines throughout California, Nevada and the Southeast and along the East Coast.
