Hauppauge, N.Y. — Tim Digioia has joined Audiovox as general manager of its consumer electronics group, a new position.
He will be based at the company’s Indianapolis facility and support Ralph Etna, sales VP in the development of RCA- and Audiovox-branded audio/video products and the overall operation of the CE group.
Digioia is a 20-year CE industry veteran who spent time with Thomson working on the RCA product lines before the Audiovox acquisition of that brand and lines.
In conjunction with the announcement, Tom Malone, Audiovox Electronics president, said, “We have successfully transitioned the RCA audio/video product line into our CE group and are now focusing our efforts on growing each RCA-branded category and working the synergies between the two major brands. As we move forward, I will be looking to Tim to create the product plans and marketing initiatives that will ultimately broaden distribution and grow each category.”
Digioia reports to Ralph Etna, who heads the consumer group. His responsibilities will include management of the Group’s P&L and inventory, and he will also be responsible for defining strategic product direction and identifying new business opportunities, the company said.
