The new board is to serve for the coming fiscal year (Aug. 1 - July 31). Lori MacPherson of Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment joins the DEG board. She replaces Disney's Bob Chapek who has left the board.
Four of the five-member executive committee were re-elected, as
David Bishop, president, worldwide home entertainment, Sony Pictures Home
Entertainment, was named the new VP. Ron Sanders was re-elected president;
Craig Kornblau was re-elected VP; Mike Dunn was re-elected secretary; and Eisuke
Tsuyuzaki was re-elected chief financial officer. The officers will serve a two-year term.
New member companies named to the board of directors are Summit
Entertainment, represented by Stephen Nickerson, and Universal Music Group,
represented by Jim Belcher.
During the upcoming fiscal year, the DEG said it will continue
its efforts in support of home entertainment products, including Blu-ray Disc,
home 3D and digital delivery.
Eight new member companies have been added to the group,
including A&E Television Networks, Amazon.com, IMAX Corporation, RealD,
Samsung Electronics, SRS Labs, Testronics and Verance.
The new DEG executive committee includes the following: Ron Sanders
