Fremont, Calif. — Flash-memory vendor Corsair announced a water- and shock-proof USB drive.

The Flash Survivor line is encased in aluminum with rubber molded shielding.

It can descend to 650 feet of water. The drive is preloaded with 256-bit AES encryption software and offers a read/write speed of up to 34MBps and 28MBps, respectively.

An 8GB drive will retail for a suggested $129 while a 4GB drive will retail for $59.99. They are shipping this month.
