Intel’s Kirk Skaugen To Deliver CES Asia 2016 Keynote

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) today announced that Kirk Skaugen, senior VP and general manager of the client computing group for Intel, will return to deliver a keynote address at the upcoming CES Asia 2016.

Owned and produced by CTA, and co-produced by Intex Shanghai, CES Asia 2016 will run May 11-13 in Shanghai, China, at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre (SNIEC).

According to CTA, Skaugen’s keynote will take place on May 11 at the Kerry Hotel, Shanghai Ballrooms 2-3. He will detail the Intel technology and products that serve as “the catalyst to making amazing new experiences possible” and highlight Intel’s work with leading companies in China to deliver solutions together that enable a smarter and more connected world.

“Intel is a global innovator and technology powerhouse, bringing disruptive technologies to the market that revolutionize the way consumers around the world access information,” said Gary Shapiro, CTA president and CEO. “We are thrilled to welcome Kirk Skaugen back to the CES Asia keynote stage and look forward to hearing his insights surrounding the advancements of computing, the next generation of innovation for the end user and Intel’s plans for the future vision of a smart and connected world.”

Skaugen is responsible for the company’s client computing business and strategies across a range of devices, including phones, phablets, tablets, two-in-ones and PCs. Skaugen also leads a range of efforts to deliver new experiences meant to simplify and personalize computing, including integrating “human senses” into technology and eliminating both wires and passwords from all computing devices.

The full lineup of CES Asia keynote speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Returning to Shanghai for its second year, CES Asia 2016 is expanding from two exhibit halls in 2015 to four with a show floor that will span 40,000 gross square meters (20,000 net square meters). The event will showcase top tech across the themes of connectivity, innovation and IoT.

Featuring more than 300 exhibiting companies, the entire global technology industry will be represented at CES Asia across 15 product categories from 3D printing and smart home to vehicle technology and wearables, as well as the latest innovation from budding entrepreneurs in Startup Park.
