Huawei President Kevin Ho To Deliver Opening Keynote at CES Asia 2016

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) today announced Kevin Ho, president of the handset product line of Huawei Device, will deliver the opening keynote address at the upcoming CES Asia 2016.

CES Asia 2016 will run May 11-13 in Shanghai, China, at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre (SNIEC).

Ho’s keynote will address how Huawei is relentlessly committed to innovations, creating excellent products, delivering the best user experience to consumers and building a better connected world, CTA said in a statement.

The keynote will be preceded by an opening address by Gary Shapiro, CTA president and CEO, at 10 a.m. in the Kerry Hotel, Grand Shanghai Ballroom 2-3. Shapiro will discuss the state of the global consumer technology industry and the importance of innovation to further economic growth. 

 “Huawei is leading the charge to build a more connected world through increased telecommunications and innovative solutions focused on consumer access,” said Shapiro. “We are excited to welcome Kevin Ho as the opening keynote speaker for CES Asia 2016. As a leader of one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies, we look forward to hearing Mr. Ho’s plans for Huawei’s product line and his vision for a connected future.” 

 As president of the handset product line of Huawei Device, Ho is responsible for product strategy, research and development, integrated operation and delivery of Huawei’s handset products. He was previously the director of the global wireless solutions department for Huawei Technologies. From 2006 to 2011, he served as president of the GSM and UMTS product line, responsible for research and development, design, sales and technical support of GSM.
