Minneapolis — Best Buy, in a continuing effort to make its product mix unique, will roll out an exclusive fashion line of portable device cases from designers Nanette Lepore, Anna Sui and Isaac Mizrahi New York.
The Nanette Lepore and Anna Sui collections are coming to Best Buy in partnership with the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing professional development and scholarships for fashion designers.
“We continue to see the intersection of fashion and technology and have partnered with Best Buy to be at the forefront of this innovation,” said Steven Kolb, CFDA CEO. “These partnerships have allowed our designers to enter the personal technology space and enabled them to launch their collections nationwide.”
Isaac Mizrahi will debut his Isaac Mizrahi New York collection on Oct. 5. “Mizrahi’s tech accessories are designed in his iconic prints: polka dots, stripes and exploded florals are mixed with vibrant hues of fuchsia, lavender and gold,” Best Buy said.
“I am so excited to launch this exclusive line at Best Buy,” said Mizrahi. “I chose my all-time favorite prints and patterns from past collections and infused them with bold color. These wonderful tech accessories are the perfect way for my customer to show off her style and express her mood. It’s an exciting way to accessorize your wardrobe!”
All three collections — which debut Oct. 5 at BestBuy.com and in Best Buy stores — can be pre-ordered today at BestBuy.com/DesignerSeries and include smartphone, tablet and laptop cases.
“We listened to our female customers who told us they are looking for more from their technology — they want style, function and changeability,” said Mary Ortizcazarin, accessories VP at Best Buy. “These new designer collections deliver the ability to personalize and accessorize their technology with an exclusive line from fashion designers many women trust and respect.”
Smartphone cases are $29.99; tablet cases range from $34.99 to $39.99; and laptop cases are available for $39.99. Smartphone cases are available for iPhone 5 and 5s and Samsung Galaxy S 5; tablet cases are available for iPad Air and iPad Mini; and laptop cases are available for 13-inch devices.
Each collection will also have cases available for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in mid-October.
Best Buy introduced a line of Kate Spade New York accessories earlier this month.
