Indianapolis — The Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) reported that more than 29,000 professionals from the residential electronic systems industry attended CEDIA Expo 2007 held in Denver last week.

According to Don Gilpin, executive director of the CEDIA, the trade show’s attendance broke last year’s record with about a four percent increase over last year’s figures.

“We are indeed pleased that CEDIA Expo continues to be the premiere trade show for the residential electronic systems industry,” Gilpin said. “Even at a time when negative housing trends and economic concerns could have forced many in the industry to stay home, CEDIA Expo increased in size again.”

Ken Erdmann, chairman of CEDIA Expo and owner of Erdmann Electric in Springville, Utah, said this year’s event marks a new level of success for the 18-year-old trade association.

“According to Erdmann, the next opportunity to experience a CEDIA trade show will be April 29-May 2, 2008, in Dallas, when CEDIA produces its first-ever Spring Expo. For more information about Spring Expo visit http://www.cedia.org/springexpo/.
