A Wall Street Journal report indicated earlier today that Apple would be attending the show and that CEO Steve Jobs has been approached to be a keynote speaker.

Shapiro told TWICE, "Apple is not exhibiting [as yet], but we would welcome them if they decide to do so."

The only mention of an Apple/CES connection this week came from Jason Oxman, industry affairs senior VP, who said during a press briefing, here, this week that the CES iLounge area of Apple-related product accessories, which started a few years ago at 4,000 square feet, will now take up 25,000 square feet.

Shapiro told TWICE, "The iLounge is doing fabulous and exceeding our expectations."
