Lake Success, N.Y. — Canon said today that it would plant a tree for every 10 new “generation green” printer product it sells.

The “generation green” product line includes its consumer Pixma and business ImageClass printers and scanners.

The program will start in May and run through August.

Consumers can register their products and view Canon’s tree-planting progress through a dedicated Web site.
