The camcorder ships with a docking station with an HDMI output for connecting to HDTVs.

The HD700 features a 1.3-second start up time, a "talking navigation" audible menu, macro focusing to 1cm, digital stabilization and in-camera editing.

Still camera features include "face chaser" for finding and focusing on up to 12 faces and light sensitivities to ISO 3200.

The camera will ship with a copy of Adobe Premiere Elements 3 for Windows users. The camera itself is also Mac compatible.
