New York – Cablevision suspended its spinoff plans for Rainbow Media Enterprises, which controls the Voom satellite television service, to pursue undisclosed alternatives.

The company, which announced the suspension through a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, refused to comment further on the decision.
