Whirlpool To Sponsor Nationwide NeXtGen Event

The Nationwide Marketing Group’s next NeXtGen millennial gathering, to be held at the upcoming PrimeTime show in Nashville, will be sponsored by Whirlpool.

NeXtGen, led by the marketing and merchandising organization’s communications chief Alex Knock, provides a forum for 20- and 30-something dealers and vendors to network, share best practices, and help foment succession strategies for family-held businesses.

Indeed, next month’s gathering, to be held Monday, Aug. 15 from 8:30 to 10:30 at the Fuse Sports Bar of the Gaylord Opryland convention center, will be complimented by Succession Planning 101, a panel discussion featuring representatives from Wells Fargo’s Wealth Management team, Morgan Stanley, JRM Sales and Management and The Beyster Institute.

The session, part of the PrimeTime show’s new Nationwide Learning Academy curriculum, is designed to help independent dealers make their businesses more profitable while preparing for a successful exit. It will be held Tuesday, Aug. 16, from 8-9:50 a.m.

Other Learning Academy sessions will feature speakers from Google and Facebook.

“We are pleased to show our continued support for this group of young industry leaders” noted Whirlpool senior sales manager Mark Spear. “Networking events like this create so many opportunities to build connections with peers that have traveled from all over to be at PrimeTime.”

In other PrimeTime news, Nationwide is ramping up its offerings for furniture dealers with an enhanced Millions in Minutes auction, expanded Prepare for Share opportunities and a new sleep solutions vendor. Details are available here.

The show itself runs Aug. 14-17 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville under the theme “We Are Nationwide,” and will kick off with a private concert by Wynonna Judd at the Grand Ole Opry.
