ProSource Honors Vendors

San Antonio — ProSource has announced its 2015 Vendors of the Year, which were honored during an awards ceremony at the buying group’s Spring Meeting here earlier this month.

 Copping the most kudos was Sony Electronics, which won overall Vendor of the Year and took home awards for the front projection systems and video display categories.

Other recipients included Control4, named Custom Integration Vendor of the Year, and Klipsch, chosen Legacy Audio Vendor of the Year.

In addition, Harman International won for new audio vendor; AudioQuest copped an award for the furniture/accessory category; and New Vendor of the Year honors went to Sennheiser.

Recipients were selected by ProSource’s 500-plus members, based on the following criteria:

* having the most positive financial effect on the members’ performance;

* providing the most help to the custom integration industry through engagement of the group;

* continually committing to develop products for the custom integration industry, and;

* being responsive and allocating proper resources to individual accounts.

“We are very excited about these awards as selected by our members,” said ProSource president/CEO Dave Workman. “We want to thank all our vendor partners whose collaboration with our group is integral to our success.”

In presenting its award to Klipsch, Workman said the iconic speaker brand “continues to provide our dealers with high-performance products, which yields higher average selling prices and predictable profitability. They have been a close partner of ProSource for many years and we are looking forward to another record setting year to come.”

Added Klipsch Audio sales president Dave Kelley, “Any successful enterprise begins with a clearly defined vision and well-articulated strategy for the future. Dave Workman, the ProSource board of directors, the audio buying committee and its members intuitively understand who they are, where they are going and strive daily to achieve their stated objectives.”

Kelley also lauded ProSource for “respecting the value of its vendor partnerships and diligently pursuing collaboration through honest and direct communication by creating mutually beneficial relationships,”  and said Klipsch is honored to have received the award, proud of its long-standing partnership with ProSource, and is focused on winning again next year.

ProSource is the specialty CE division of the $13 billion BrandSource buying group, born of the merger of PRO Group and BrandSource’s in-house Home Entertainment Source (HES) arm. It represents over 500 retailers and customer integrators with cumulative sales of more than $4.5 billion.
