New York - Barnes & Noble unveiled its Black Friday
specials today.
The bookseller will run a one-day deal on the Nook Simple
Touch e-reader, reducing the price to $79, from $99, on Nov. 25.
Barnes & Noble said the Simple Touch has received the
company's latest firmware upgrade, giving it 25 percent faster page turns and
longer battery life, two months the company claims.
Other Black Friday specials include:
44 percent off Nook accessories, such as the Clear Screen
Film Kit for $24.95 with Nook purchase, Tablet Power kit for $24.95, and free
Nook Simple Touch Power Adapter with the purchase of a Lyria Light, costing
$14.95; and 40 percent to 50 percent off DVDs and Blu-ray movies.
