Hauppauge, N.Y. - Audiovox
Electronics is shipping its line of Movie2Go by Audiovox rear-seat
The entry-level line
includes a universal headrest system with a 7-inch LED backlit monitor with
built-in DVD player, a stand-alone universal headrest system with a 7-inch LED
backlit monitor only, and 9-inch and 10-inch overhead rear-seat entertainment
systems with built-in DVD players.
"The Movies2Go rear-seat entertainment line
was designed for the budget-conscious consumer who wants the latest technology
and functionality but does not necessarily need all of the bells and whistles,"
said Tom Malone, president of Audiovox. "While our Movies2Go value line has
always provided the consumer with the best feature set at the most affordable
price, this year's lineup raises the bar on feature sets."
The AVXMTGHR1D rear-seat
headrest entertainment system ($199 suggested retail) features adjustable post
sleeves and width functionality, allowing it to fit most vehicles. It is also
designed to match most interiors, with three cover options available: shale,
pewter and black. The system has a 7-inch LED backlit widescreen monitor
(switchable 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios), adjustable viewing angles, USB/SD
inputs, a front-facing 3.5mm-to-RCA adapter cable and a remote control.
AVXMTGHR1M ($149) offers the same features as the AVXMTGHR1D without the built-in
DVD player (they are compatible with one another).
The two overhead systems
with built-in DVD players include the AVXMTG9B and AVXMTG10U. The AVXMTG9B
($299) has a 9-inch LED backlit widescreen monitor, IR headphone output, A/V
input and output, USB and SD card reader, and a remote control.
It also has built-in
M1/M2 operation. This lets users install two overhead systems in one vehicle
with different content played on each, with a separate audio channel for
vehicles with third-row seating.
The AVXMTG10U has a
10-inch LED backlit widescreen monitor and adds a snap-on bezel and trim ring
in the three colors. Suggested retail is $349.
