Daytona Beach, Fla. — SBN Expo Group scheduled the 27th installment of its annual Spring Break Nationals for next March in Daytona Beach.
However, the company will hold the event a little earlier in the month than last year to fall between the Daytona 500 Race and Bike Week.
The three events’ demographics overlap, and the new time period will help capture revelers who will be in town for the other events, the company said.
The 2013 event will be held March 2-3, whereas the previous event was held in late March 2012. Like the previous show, the 2013 show will be held at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach.
The consumer show combines a mobile electronics expo, car show and soundoff competition, but like before, SBN also plans events for dealers, including free dealer educational seminars as well as fee-based hands-on advanced training sessions by such groups as Ramsey Consulting Group. The fee-based sessions are conducted for smaller groups to “provide better focus” and enable attendees to “take home more applicable knowledge with increased retentivity because of it,” SBN said. These sessions are designed to provide dealers with an immediate return on their investment, the company added.
Other dealer-targeted events include a dealer-only roundtable.
Free consumer seminars will again be held to boost consumer awareness, and a limited number of suppliers with the best proposed consumer topics will be able to host brand-specific consumer sessions at no cost.
Soundoff events will be held by the MECA, dB Drag Racing and IASCA associations.
