Seattle, Wash. - AudioControl has developed an iPhone/iPod Touch app that helps installers troubleshoot HDMI installations.

The HD Sleuth app, available on the Apple store at $3.99, troubleshoots three types of problems: no video, no audio, and intermittent audio and video.

"We advise a lot of installers on getting HDMI systems to work correctly," said president Tom Walker. Because the company manufactures HDMI extenders and repeaters, home theater receivers, and preamps, he said, "We are looked to for our expertise in troubleshooting intricate installations."
