Crestron Opens Experience Center

More than 700 people, including dealers and government officials, attended the grand opening of Crestron’s 8,000-square-foot Experience Center, where dealers, architects and interior designers bring customers to demonstrate fully operational home automation and custom A/V systems.

The Experience Center sits in Crestron’s campus, which includes a 100,000-square-foot research center, a 150,000-square-foot manufacturing plant, a 50,000-square-foot pre-production facility and a 50,000-square-foot distribution center.

The center features an atrium-style reception area, multimedia presentation room, video conferencing boardroom, home-theater room and an interactive design lab where more than 500 working Crestron products are on display. LED lights installed throughout the center are controlled from Crestron touchpanels.

The reception area features a 7.1-channel in-ceiling surround system, Digital Projection HD projector and Stewart Filmscreen StarGlas screen, a custom made wave-shaped stainless-steel counter with a quartz countertop and leather high-back stools.

The Theo Kalomirakis home theater features Crestron Procise 7.3 HD surround-sound processor, ADMS Intermedia Delivery System, Digital Projection TITAN three-chip 1080p projector, Stewart Filmscreen 143-inch CineCurve screen, Revel speakers, RPG acoustical room treatments and CinemaTech theater seats.
