New York - Small crowds protested today at several Apple Stores today to voice their disapproval of worker conditions at Foxconn and other parts suppliers, according to several published reports.

CNNMoney reported that about a dozen people showed up at Apple's Grand Central Terminal store Thursday morning to hand over a petition calling for worker reforms at Apple's suppliers. The petition was started on the social advocacy site Change.org. The site claimed about 200,000 people have signed the petition.

Petitions were also reportedly delivered to Apple locations in London, Bangalore and San Francisco.

The petitions are in response to a New York Times article that depicted harsh working conditions at Foxconn. Foxconn makes Apple's iPad and iPhone and also does contract work for Hewlett-Packard, Dell and other computer and electronics firms.

Apple did not respond to today's incidents, but on Jan. 19 Apple posted its Supplier Responsibility Code of Conduct on its website.
