Cupertino, Calif. — Apple introduced a 2GB Apple Shuffle for $69 and lowered the price of its current 1GB Shuffle to $49.

The new 2GB version will be in stores by the end of the month. The 1GB iPod Shuffle was introduced in five colors a year ago at $79. It holds 240 songs with a 12-hour battery life.  

The matchbox-sized Shuffle has a clip-on design and weighs half an ounce.
