Mahwah, N.J. - Tim Alessi, former LG Electronics product marketing director, has joined Sharp Electronics in the newly created position of product development associate VP, a spokesman at Sharp confirmed.

An LG representative said that the company is currently looking for someone to take Alessi's former post.

Alessi originally joined LG in December 2004 after working for 23 years at Sony Electronics.
