New York - The
Anti-Defamation League's national consumer technology industry group honored
Karen Chupka of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), Babak Ghaznavi of
Paul's TV The King Of Big Screen, and Mindy Grossman of the Home Shopping
Network (HSN) at its annual tribute and dinner dance on Saturday night.
The black tie event was
held at Cipriani 42nd Street for the first time -- across the street from the
Grand Hyatt Hotel, the usual site for the dinner -- and drew more than 330
attendees.
CEA president/CEO Gary
Shapiro presented Chupka, CEA's events and conferences senior VP, with the
group's Torch of Liberty award; Tim Baxter, president of Samsung's CE division,
presented Ghaznavi, president/CEO of Paul's TV, with the American Heritage
Award; and Matthew Rubel, senior advisor to TPG Capital, presented Mindy
Grossman, CEO of HSN, the Patricia Rienzi Legacy Award.
