Acer Intros New Laptops

New York – Acer released two mainstream laptops in its Aspire line today.

The new models both incorporate Acer’s “Instant-on” technology. This scans and logs commonly used wireless access points enabling the laptops to be online in about 2.5 seconds, the company said. Each also contains a USB 3.0 port and delivers about five hours of battery life.

The Aspire V5-771-6869, features a 15.6-inch display, Intel Core i5 Ivy Bridge processor, 6GB of memory, a 500GB hard drive and a SuperMulti DVD drive.

The laptop is 0.83-inches thick and weighs 5 pounds and features a soft covering for a better grip while being carried.

It is later this month with a $629 suggested retail price.

Also shipping in late June is the entry-level V5-471-6569. It has a 14-inch display, a second-generation Core i3 processor, an Intel 4GB of memory, a 500GB hard drive and will carry a $449 suggested retail price.
