Clearwater, Fla. - A $5,000-suggested limited-edition autosound amplifier launched by AAMP of America's Phoenix Gold brand pushes out 12,000 watts into one channel into 1-ohm loads and up to 24,000 watts when two are strapped together, the company said.

Called The One, the mono amp features a clear Plexiglas cover to display what the company called "a cityscape of capacitors, transistors, power supplies, relays and LEDs" on a gold-plated circuit board. The amp is hand-built, and the company laser etches the production-run serial number into the heatsink.

Separately, AAMP's PAC brand launched a free iPhone/iPad app that helps installers identify which PAC-brand or PAC-distributed Dension, iSimple, Parrot and iDatalink OEM-integration device is needed for a particular install. Users can browse products by category or search for specific vehicle applications by make, model and year. Users can also search for integration solutions by device. Once a solution is found, the app displays the part numbers, suggested retails and features of the chosen PAC accessory.
