Mobile Edge Debuts Tablet Cases, Totes

NEW YORK — Mobile Edge has introduced two lines of cases, including specialty cases for those who carry both a laptop and a tablet.

The new Mobile Edge Slimline Ultrabook cases come in a top-closure briefcase form and a top-flap messenger form. Each includes a padded Ultrabook compartment (up to 14.1 inches) plus a separate fleece-lined tablet pouch.

They feature Koskin outer shells with contrast stitching and perforated accented panels, an interior zippered pocket and a full-length exterior pocket with an organizer for smaller devices and a host of accessories. An adjustable shoulder strap has polished-nickel fittings.

The messenger bags and briefcases come in black with white and black with orange contrast stitching.

The briefcase model has a suggested retail of $59.99, while the messenger is listed at $69.99.

Also new from the company is a fashion- inspired line for women, called Classic Totes, in two designs and two sizes, one for laptops and one for tablets.

Each bag, either in herringbone or corduroy, features black Koskin trim with contrast stitching and polished-nickel fittings. Both styles come with a padded laptop compartment and a separate fleece-lined tablet pouch.

The Classic Totes feature two additional storage sections, an accordion file compartment plus a zip-down workstation for travel accessories. They include a trolley strap for use with rolling luggage and a matching removable travel clutch.

The line also includes Ultrabook and Tablet Slimline Totes that are designed using the same fabrics and accent materials. The Ultrabook Tote will fit up to a 14.1-inch Ultrabook. The smaller Tablet Totes will accommodate an iPad or other tablet up to 11 inches, with both styles doubling as a purse.

The Classic herringbone and corduroy Totes come in two sizes. Large Totes will accommodate a laptop up to 16 inches or a 17-inch MacBook and retail for $119. The small Classic Totes will fit laptops up to 14.1 inches and list for $99.99. The Ultrabook Totes retail for $69.99 while the Tablet Totes retail for $59.99.

“We work very hard to ensure that our products reflect the changing needs of mobile computer users,” said G. David Cartwright, president/CEO, Mobile Edge.
